OMERS INFRASTRUCTURE

Have you ever flown to London City Airport in the United Kingdom? Maybe you’ve driven across the Confederation Bridge between New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. Or perhaps you’ve made it up to Tiverton, Ontario to visit Bruce Power. What you might not know is that each one of these familiar places are part of the OMERS Infrastructure portfolio.
OMERS has almost $100B in investments across the globe. In this regular feature, we’ll take a closer look at one of our investment businesses.

Today, we’re talking about OMERS Infrastructure – a leading investor, on behalf of OMERS members, in vital infrastructure assets with a focus on sectors including energy, transportation, water, telecom and more.
The goal for our investment businesses is always to create long-term, stable returns that pay pensions to our members. We are active investors, focused on partnership and as Executive Vice President and Global Head of Infrastructure, Ralph Berg, explains: “We have a deep belief as an organization in the values of acting responsibly, of acting sustainably and that transcends everything that we do.” Our Infrastructure team operates all over the world with investment professionals in Toronto, New York, London, Sydney and Singapore. OMERS provides the commitment and capital required to accelerate the growth strategies of good businesses operating in the infrastructure space.
